The Socorro 6000 has 10kg of drag so more than you will need, this combo is good for general livebaiting inshore reefs and jiging where you need no more than a 200g jig to get to the bottom as that is the max rating for the rod, but also meaning you can use up to 8oz Snapper leads without the rod bucking over. Being a max PE 4 rod it is still soft enough to use as a bottom bashing reel for Snapper, Pearl Perch and other dimersals and have some fun.
