This heavy jig combo comes with the Shimano Socorro 10000 and the Daiwa Saltist BW 60s. The Shimano Socorro is a strong reliable reel that will catch fish and not fail, and the Daiwa BW 60S is a great bang for buck rod, quality rod. The Saltist BW 60S is rated PE 4-6 so is good for most big fish, the combo comes ready to go and spooled with 50lb Dogtooth colour change Braid that is a reliable braid we have been using for years and a braid that always breaks over 50lb. The combo also doubles a good live baiting combo as the Daiwa Saltis BW rod has a softer taper meaning it has some play in the tip which makes setting the hooks on live baits a lot easier.

By using a graphite/fibreglass construction with uni-directional wrapping, we have created a process enhancing the design to create a blank that is incredibly resilient, and has an immense backbone and lifting power to control and lead strong fish. Complementing the blank is titanium oxide guides, EVA grips, hooded reel seats and rubber gimbals.
The Daiwa Saltist BW rod range is a great value for money rod range but still built tough. The range of Saltist BW rods have a fast taper meaning they still have sensitivity in the tip but also have a lot of grunt down low. The Saltist BW rod range has a good range in spin rods to cover many applications, the Daiwa Saltist BW SJ 56-50/80S is heaviest of the range and is a 24-37kg rod with a lot of stopping power and will take jigs up to 300g. The Saltist BW also has a lighter jig spin rod, the 60S that is rated PE 4-6 so is perfect for 50lb Daiwa J Braid X8 and the lightest Jig rod is the Saltist BW 64BJS and is a good bottom bashing rod for 30lb braid. The Saltist BW range has 3 rods in the 7ft range the Saltis BW 722LFS, 70M and 70MH and is rated fi the PE 2-4 range so are good for general casting and Bait fishing. There are also 3 purpose-built casting rods, the saltist BW SJ792H that is rated to PE 5 and will cast and work stickbaits well and also double as a heavy livebaiting rod, the Saltist BW SJ82XH is a heavy stick and will cast and work Poppers well, it is the heaviest in the range, and if your after a long range casting rod that is not expensive the Saltist BW 962HFS is a great rod, it is rated PE 2-4 and has a broad cast range of 50-120g.
